Perennial Morning Glory with large white flowers with magenta centers. Related to cultivated sweet potatoes, it forms large underground tubers that may reach 50 lbs. Young tubers were eaten by indigenous peoples after thorough processing, but are otherwise bitter and mildly toxic. Flowers attract hummingbirds and large butterflies. Vigorous climber that needs a fence or trellis.
