The cheery clusters of dainty Daisy Fleabane flowers are a welcome sight on a sunny spring morning. This perennial spreads from small rhizomes, slowly forming dense colonies of plants. The blooms are visited primarily by smaller pollinators. Daisy Fleabane is very low growing when not in flower. This cool season plant has a summer dormancy, disappearing in summer heat and regrowing leaves in fall.
Daisy Fleabane is an easy to grow plant that thrives in a variety of conditions. It is quite tolerant of sun or shade, as much of its active growth occurs when trees are sparsely leafed. It appreciates average moisture and a variety of soils. It doesn't tolerate excessive crowding by taller vegetation. Due to its low growth, Daisy Fleabane makes an excellent border or bedding plant.
