Foliage contains a unique smoky camphor-like scent. Begins blooming in mid spring, and may continue til early summer. The blooms attract numerous insect species, particularly tiny bees, butterflies, and beetles. A great plant for sunny locations that are a bit dry. Spreads slowly through creeping rhizomes. Grows best in full to part sun in mesic soils. Grows 12-30” while in flower.
